Wow, I haven’t blogged since November, I didn’t think it had been that long :| As I mentioned in my last post, most of my time has been occupied by writing another blog which is solely for my 3rd year major project and is a requirement for my course at the moment. So this blog has been feeling a bit abandoned :( 

To make this blog feel a little bit included with my major project, below is just the front page of my major project which is a nature reserve website and includes seasonal themes. It’s taken a lot of time and work to get to where I am now but the user testing has taken most of it’s time and I’m only half complete :O The rest of it is coding and should be complete by the end of March.

Other than working on my major project, I’ve also started working on my portfolio since in just a couple of months time (it’s going way too fast) i’ll be job hunting :| Plus the portfolio is part of an assignment so it’s more or less a must to get that done too. So where am I at? Liking a design and hoping I’ll like it for a bit longer so that I can start working on it soon :D Below is the current design (could change though) :

So that’s work stuff out the way but any feedback will be most appreciated :D I don’t spend all my time working though but of late, it’s been pretty much 9am-9pm working and then a bit of free time :D In which case most of that time is either taken up by working on my portfolio, reading or playing “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” which is slowly creeping up the list of my favourite games. I’m more amazed by the scenery and the visuals more than the story but admittedly the story is also quite interesting. If only my print screen button would work properly in game but guess that’s my fault for buying a mac keyboard for a windows PC :|

I received a Kindle for Christmas and I have to say that yes I prefer it to a book. I’ve always had the problem whereby a book is too heavy for my hand etc but the kindle is just perfect, definately worth the money and I’m currently onto reading “Game of Thrones” which I’ve almost completed the first book. Absolutely loving it so far :D

I think it’s time I headed off to bed so that I can wake up early tomorrow and get some more of major project done.

I apologise for the lack of blog posts of late :( I am currently writing a blog for my 3rd year project (we have to do it) and I’ve hardly had any time to write on this blog :( My 3rd year project has been keeping me occupied these last few weeks but to be honest, this year I am learning a lot more about how people use websites and how they interact with them which to me has been truly interesting. It’s a shame that we haven’t been taught any of this in the previous years and I’m finding it one of the most interesting aspect of this course. About the only thing I didn’t like was carrying out questionnaires face to face with people :| User testing on the other hand it really interesting :D If you are following me on twitter, you can help me out by giving me feedback on designs and logos etc that I put up there and I would be most grateful for the help :)

Other than my 3rd year project, I haven’t been up to very much else. I’ve been very fortunate to be able to visit my friends a lot, even though we are all in the same boat with our 3rd year projects, it’s probably the first year that we have been concentrating on making an effort to see each other as often as possible, which I think is great :D Really to be honest there isn’t as much else that I can blog about. I hope everyone is well :)
